Description:
Here is page 32 of a 34-page article (in five installments) entitled "Locomotives Of The Pennsylvania." It was published originally in the November 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 78. Shown here pulling a US Army Coastal Defense artillery piece is PRR engine #6962, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1926 and retired in January of 1950 after 24 years of faithful service.
