Here is page two of a three-page article entitled "Farewell To Steam." It was published originally in the July-August 1960 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 2. Top Left Photo Caption: "At St. Clair Enginehouse, Columbus, W.D. Briggs burns off number plate of a J-1." Shown here is the front end of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6170, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during September of 1944 and retired in April of 1958 after just 14 years of revenue service.
